Junlei was born from the meeting of four passionate and complementary minds: a mycologist, a naturopath, a doctor expert in mycotherapy, and a designer.

The project took concrete form with an initial experimental cultivation phase. Mushroom cultivation began under the guidance of an expert at a certified mushroom farm in Turin.

During the first year, the team studied the properties of different mushroom varieties, focusing on their transformation into hydroalcoholic extracts. This allowed them to identify optimal formulas to effectively exploit the mushrooms' active ingredients.

Following the success of the hydroalcoholic extracts and the surprising results seen in the treatment of an allergy suffered by the founder, Ilaria, we decided to take a further step: to further improve the quality of our products by relying on a certified manufacturer and a specialized laboratory of the highest level.
